Company Background
Big Start Training and Development is a pioneering 100% black-owned female organization established in 2006. Recognizing a critical gap in waste management, our founders were driven to address it through impactful training and development initiatives. Over the past fourteen years, we've made significant strides in transferring skills and knowledge related to waste management to diverse sectors, including private individuals, corporate clients, state organs, schools, clinics, and more.
Our CEO has been recognized for her outstanding contributions, earning accolades such as Woman of the Month (August 2018), Standard Bank Top KZN Business Women of 2019, and an award for Clean Waste Economic Support in 2022. We are also proud members of the Kloof Conservancy Forum, highlighting our commitment to environmental conservation. While based in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, our operations extend nationwide. Accredited by Local Government Seta (LGSETA), CATHSSETA, and the Quality Council on Trades Occupation (QCTO) Health Promotional Officer, we are listed on various municipal databases as a trusted service provider.
